First a disclaimer: None of these authors are paying us to be listed here.

- Popular reads you can’t afford to ignore
Prefer to movies or shows? We have a covid streaming list just for you.
Do You Like to Discover NEW Reads?
Here are a few books you won’t find on the New York Times bestseller list (but that hardly matters as that list doesn’t actually include bestsellers). Nonetheless, these books may be on other bestseller lists, ones where the number of sales actually count. These are good reads:
We’ll Start with Our Favorite Rising Series
The Other Side of Red, books 1 & 2
book 1: Her magic was his obsession. Her loyalty was his requirement. And her betrayal became his unraveling…
book 2: Hell bound, he can’t deny the beast inside any longer, and he won’t, not even for her…
Like a Good Mystery Thriller?
This is The Leopold Blake Series Starter Collection (A Private Investigator Series of Crime and Suspense Thrillers). It may not be on the NYT Bestseller list, but it has had millions of downloads. In short, mystery-thriller readers are loving this read. Read the synopsis to each book in the series
What if it’s a Fantasy Thriller?
This one, we can get behind. The Heir of Ra is the first in a modern-day fantasy thriller series. It’s fast-paced, thrilling, and thought-provoking. The book has won several awards, including #1 Amazon International Best Seller, 2019 American Fiction Award, 2019 IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award, and 2019 Readers Favorite. It’s highly recommended. This one is going places.
An Epic Fantasy You Probably Haven’t Read Yet
Try Crown of the Realm (an All Things Impossible Book) If you’re into the epic fantasy hero’s journey, this one follows a female warrior hero with some spunk. It’s won several awards, including Readers Favorite, Book Excellence Awards, and 2020 Book Awards. It’s definitely for the young adult book lover. And highly recommended by Ellmaxx editors.

And Undiscovered Gem in General Fiction…
Here’s a fun little weekend read about a woman who won the lottery, and then died, leaving her kids confined to an island where they must hash out their sibling rivalries and learn to be a family again, or get nothing. This author, too, is award-winning. Incidentally, she’s coming out with an historical fiction fantasy that’s going to be epic. We know it’s good because we got a sneak-peek. 😉

Are you an artist? If so, you might be able to relate to Walt Disney. He was an artist, not of cartoons, but of people. And he had a talent for it!
Steve Jobs was an artist, too. His was an interesting life to learn from.
Jack Canfield recently published a book. You might remember him best as the bestselling author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.
Well, he’s got a new book in town. It’s actually a workbook, designed to help you succeed in any area of your life. And it works, which is why we recommend it. It’s called The Success Principles Workbook
Just about any book from Tony Robbins can be life-changing, if you let it.
Brené Brown’s book, Braving the Wilderness helps you be who you truly are by belonging to yourself.
Popular Books You can No Longer Ignore
Your Covid-19 reading list wouldn’t be complete without a few of the all-time classics. They haven’t become phenomenons without cause, after all. So here are a few you can count on.
This goes without saying, but if you’ve been meaning to get in on the Harry Potter bandwagon, now’s a good a time as ever to catch up on the best urban fantasy series of all time. This’ll give us the courage and bravery we need to face these fearful times of covid and lockdown. Even if you have read it, how about a re-read?
Here are the books that, in our opinion, you should not go your whole life without. There’s no need to say anything about them as we believe you should have heard these titles at least once before. I mean, like I said, they’re phenomenons for a reason. So, if you’re avoiding these or simply haven’t gotten to them, you’re missing out. End of story.
But, alas, what you experience in this life is up to you…
